Document
One cookie, and only if you ask for it.
This is not a courtesy formula and there are no exceptions hidden at the bottom of the page. The only cookie on this website is a technical one: your browser stores it only when you use the IT/EN switch, so that the site opens again in the language you chose. No profiling or third-party cookies, no local storage, no identifiers, no pixels. That is why you did not have to close any banner to get here.

01
Why there is only one
It follows from how the website is built. A cookie serves to remember something from one visit to the next, or to let someone else recognise you. The second never happens here; the first has a single case: the language.
- Only the language, only if you choose it. When you use the IT/EN switch, your browser stores the technical cookie
lingua, containing nothing butitoren, for 365 days. When you come back to the main address of the website, the server reads it and opens the language you chose; without it, the website opens in Italian. It contains no identifier: it is the same for everyone who chose the same language. - No external resources. Fonts, style sheets, images and scripts all come from the same server as this page. No fonts loaded from third parties, no libraries taken from a content delivery network.
- No analytics. We use no traffic analysis tools, neither our own nor third-party ones. We do not know how many people read this page, and we can live with that.
- No embedded content. No videos hosted elsewhere, no maps, no social media widgets, no review widgets.
- No forms. There is nothing to fill in, so there is nothing else to remember from one visit to the next.
- No restricted area. There are no accounts and no session to keep open.

The check, if you would rather not take our word for it
Everywhere else on the site we say that the numbers can be checked. It would be inconsistent to ask you to trust us right here, so we give you a way to look for yourself. It takes less than a minute and works on any computer.
Thirty seconds, in Chrome, Edge or Firefox
- On this page press F12 (or Ctrl+Shift+I, on a Mac Cmd+Opt+I). The developer tools panel opens.
- Open the Application tab — in Firefox it is called Storage.
- In the left-hand column choose Cookies, and under it this website's address.
- Look at Local storage and Session storage too, just below.
Local storage and session storage are empty, and there is nothing under cookies — unless you used the IT/EN switch: then you will find just one, the language cookie, containing it or en. In the Network tab, if you reload the page, you will also see that every single request goes to this domain and to no other.

The two families, for those who cannot tell them apart
Italian and European law divide cookies into two categories with very different rules. The distinction matters, because it decides whether a website has to ask for your consent or not.
Technical
They make the website work: keeping a session open, remembering the chosen language, holding a shopping cart. They do not require your consent, but they must still be declared.
On this website · one technical cookie, only if you switch language
Profiling and third-party
They build a profile of your interests, measure advertising campaigns or let other companies recognise you across different websites. They require your prior consent, freely given and revocable.
On this website · one technical cookie, only if you switch language
The only cookie we use is a technical one and we install none from the second family, so there is no consent to collect. If you would rather not have it, you can delete or block it in your browser settings: the website still works, it will simply always open in Italian.
04
What the server records anyway
There is one thing we have to say, because it is true of every website and does not depend on cookies. When your browser requests a page, the server hosting it records the request in a technical log: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type, outcome.
It serves to run and protect the website, not to recognise you: we do not build a profile from that log and we do not link two visits together. The purposes, retention periods and your rights are described in the privacy notice, Articles 2 and 4.
05
If it ever changes
If in future we added another cookie or a tool that requires them — traffic analytics, a contact form, a video hosted elsewhere — this page would change before the tool was switched on, the date at the top would show it, and a consent request would appear where the law requires it.
We have no plans to do so any time soon. We prefer a website that loads quickly, depends on nobody else's servers and does not need to ask you anything in order to be read.
Something
doesn't add up?
If the check turns up any other cookie or a request to another domain, write to us: it is a mistake and we will fix it.
